David Radziej (Raw-Gee) is running for City Council to bring common-sense stewardship developed from my over 40 years of construction industry non-profit management, absolute fiscal accountability, and balanced community growth to our neighborhoods. Slow and steady growth is not all bad as it is more my style but at times I will be advocating for rapid expansion. I have the real-life experience with infrastructure projects and I am ready to guide the development of the TCAAP project with respect for the residential view to maintain the natural beauty of Arden Hills.
While I sat in as a concerned resident at the Planning Commission July 8th, one of my opponents who sits on the Planning Commission and claims to bring his architect, builder and sustainability expertise to city planning issues – recused him self from the meeting because he “knows the architect/developer” that was presenting their requests for code variances. How can he truly represent you, the residents, from the sidelines? And will this be his normal response when tough questions are raised at the city council level with every code variance request as TCAAP is developed?
Public Safety plays an important role in our City and makes up almost half of our cities general fund budget. I support our agreements with Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department and Lake Johanna Fire Department as these shared agreements with other communities have proven to be the most cost-effective coverage for Arden Hills residents.
With my Financial Training I will be looking to ensure every local tax dollar is stretched before it is spent, transparently, keeping our cities budget balanced while maintaining high quality city services.
